Mechanical Engineering

The combination of decorative properties with high corrosion resistance is a frequent demand in the apparatus and mechanical engineering industry. In addition, demanding requirements are also imposed on the ductility of the surfaces and their resistance to wear.

Galvano Aluminium again provides an innovative solution: Aluminium surfaces are today used for fastening components in heat exchangers. When subjected to these extreme temperatures, intrinsic corrosion must be prevented to ensure that the screws can be loosened when maintenance is carried out. Aluminium with its higher meling point is far superior to cadmium and zinc under such conditions and it is also the preferred metal due to environmental aspects.

A thin aluminium ceramic layer can be applied to a thin aluminium interlayer on the tools and shapes. As a result, the service life is increased significantly. The hard layers can also be regenerated as often as is necessary.
